TIME TO ORDER POINSETTIAS
If you would like to order a red or white poinsettia, cost this year is $7.50 each. A sign-up sheet is on the board in the narthex. You will have until December 4 to order. Make checks payable to St. John's and place in the offering plate. Thank you!

KIDS' CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Our Kids' Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 18, at 6:00 PM. Practices for the program will be held as follows:
Wednesday, November 30: 6:00-7:20 PM
Wednesday, December 7: 6:00-7:20 PM
Sunday, December 11: 8:30-9:45 AM
Wednesday, December 14: 6:00-7:20 PM
Sunday, December 18: 8:45-9:45 AM (last practice)

It really helps if everyone can be at all of the practices, so that we all know what to do and where to go in the program. If your child(ren) will not be able to participate in the Christmas program this year, please let Valerie Wham (712-545-3119 or cvwham@gmail.com) know as soon as possible. Thank you.

LWML CORNER
Get Ready, Set, Recycle! Your LWML is collecting empty inkjet and/or laser printer cartridges, used cell phones, laptops (with power cords) and PDAs (Palm Pilots) to redeem for cash. The cash will be used to pay for expenses associated with hosting the LWML's National Convention to be held in Des Moines in 2015. Just bring your contributions to church and put them in one of the LWML boxes. It's easy and it's good for the environment, too. Questions about what we can recycle? Check out the poster in the narthex. Your LWML says thanks!!!

BETHANY NEWS
Bethany Home is encouraging our church members to buy small inexpensive, unwrapped items for the Bethany residents to select at the Christmas 'store' (which will be set up the first or second week of December) so the residents may browse and select items to give to their loved ones. The items must be brand new. Drop the items off at Bethany Lutheran Home; or place them in a bag, mark them 'Carol, please deliver to BLH' and set them in the LWML boxes under the mailboxes at church. Thank you for considering Bethany as one of your missions this year.

If you would like to do a volunteer activity, think about getting a group together to go Christmas caroling through Bethany's halls. Two-three weeks prior to your visit, call Nora, Activities Director at Bethany Home (712-328-9500) or Linda Jensen at Bethany Heights (712-328-8228) to get on the calendar. --- Carol Taylor, Key Lady
